The training, offered by MultiChoice Kenya, is a Kenyatta University accredited programme. The academy, launched in May 2018, is a 12-month fully funded training programme.

The curriculum is executed under the guidance of regional academy directors Njoki Muhoho (East Africa hub), Berry Lwando (Southern Africa hub) and Femi Odugbemi (West Africa hub).
