According to data from Salesforce, Facebook remains the world’s most popular social media platform with 3.1 billion monthly active users.
WhatsApp and Instagram follow closely, each recording 3 billion users globally.
YouTube ranks fourth with 2.5 billion users, while TikTok has grown rapidly to reach 2 billion monthly users, cementing its place among the top digital platforms worldwide.
Chinese messaging platform WeChat has 1.4 billion users, while Messenger and Telegram each stand at 1 billion users.
Snapchat, Reddit, and Douyin also remain widely used across different regions.
Meta continues to dominate the social media space, owning Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads.
Analysts say the growth of social media reflects increasing global internet penetration, smartphone usage, and the rising influence of digital communication in everyday life, business, politics, and entertainment.
