
Data from the Usawa Agenda report, released May 12, 2026, details pregnancy and school return rates across Kenyan regions.
The data shows a national pregnancy rate of 3.7% and a return rate of 58.1%.
Rift Valley recorded the highest pregnancy rate at 5.1%, while North Eastern had the lowest at 0.4%.
Conversely, Central region achieved the highest school return rate at 69.2%, contrasted with North Eastern's low of 18.5%.
Other regions like Nyanza and Western show return rates above 60%, despite varying pregnancy levels.
This data highlights significant regional disparities in how senior school learners navigate pregnancy and subsequent reintegration into the education system.
