
Police Officers lead the country in taking bribes, with a prevalence rate of 35.5% according to the 2025 EACC Gender Survey.
They are followed by Civil Registration Officials at 30.0% and National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) Officers at 25.4%.
The data further reveals bribery rates among Land registry officers at 23.3% and Registration of persons officers at 21.2%. Immigration and Tax/revenue officers also feature at 18.2% and 13.1%.
Within the justice and utility sectors, Prosecutors at 11.7%, Magistrates at the court at 8.7%, and Public utility officers at 7.8% complete the top 10 list.
