
A statement by Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi, presented in Parliament on November 19, 2025, revealed the estimated number of Kenyans registered across East African Community (EAC) countries.
Tanzania leads with 3,503 officially registered Kenyans, while South Sudan hosts 4,066 officially and up to 30,000 unofficially.
Uganda has 287 officially and 30,000 unofficially registered Kenyans. Somalia records 600 officially and 10,000 unofficially.
Burundi has 300 officially and 350 unofficially.
DRC has an estimated 2,500 officially registered, but unofficial data is unavailable due to the January 2025 attack on Kenya’s Mission in Kinshasa.
