Kenya Power has provided a clear process for customers to report faulty electricity meters, ensuring safety and efficient service.
The process begins by opening the MyPower App, which is available for all Kenya Power customers. Once logged in, the user should select Report Incidences, followed by choosing the Faulty Meter option.
The next step requires entering your meter number, which uniquely identifies your electricity account.
Afterwards, customers should select the specific fault they are experiencing, whether it relates to malfunctioning readings, token loading issues, or other irregularities.
Once submitted, Kenya Power technicians are notified and dispatched to inspect, repair, or replace the faulty meter.
It is important for customers to note that they should not attempt to fix electricity meters on their own. Only authorised Kenya Power technicians are trained and permitted to handle such sensitive equipment safely.
Unauthorised tampering may not only damage the meter but also pose safety hazards.
