The Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) has outlined key requirements for Kenyan nurses and midwives who wish to pursue opportunities abroad.
The process begins with filling out the official NCK Application Form for Verification for Emigration, available on the NCK website.
Applicants must also provide a valid national ID or passport, NCK professional certificates, and a current practice license.
Supporting documents play a crucial role in the application. These include a letter of recommendation from the current employer or supervisor, proof of payment of the prescribed fee, a medical report, and a police clearance certificate.
Applicants are also required to submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV) in the prescribed format and register with the National Employment Authority (NEA).
Language proficiency is another essential requirement. Candidates must provide pass results from either the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the Occupational English Test (OET).
Meeting these requirements ensures nurses and midwives are well-prepared for international practice while upholding professional standards.
