    COP15 is the 15th meeting of the Ramsar Convention, which took place in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, concluding on July 31, 2025.

    The theme was "Protecting Wetlands for Our Common Future."

    China's role and achievements were featured prominently at the event.

    China leads the world in international wetland cities. At COP15, nine Chinese cities were designated, bringing China's total to 22.

    The country has 5.635 million hectares of wetlands.

    The COP15 outcomes included stronger global cooperation, capacity-building, finance mobilisation, ecological integration, and flyway protection as part of the Victoria Falls Declaration.
