According to the 2025 Global Report on Food Crises, several refugee-hosting countries are experiencing alarming levels of acute food insecurity.
The Democratic Republic of Congo tops the list, with 76% of its refugee population affected, followed by Jordan at 75%, and Algeria at 64%.
Egypt (60%) and Sudan (56%) also report high figures, reflecting the pressures of hosting large displaced populations amid limited resources.
Other affected nations include Djibouti (42%), Lebanon (39%), Chad and Bangladesh (30% each), and Uganda (28%).
These findings underscore the disproportionate burden on host countries, many of which are already grappling with economic instability and climate challenges.
