Kenya is ranked third in the world in cases of teenage pregnancies according to data presented by Health Permanent Secretary Susan Mochache yesterday.

It was also revealed that at least 98 children aged between 10-19 are infected with HIV/Aids on a weekly basis in Kenya.

The government data showed that one in every five adolescent girls in the country was pregnant or already had their first child.

“One in every three mothers visiting antenatal clinics across the country was an adolescent between the ages of 10 and 19,” she said.
