Blogger runs amok after failing to secure party ticket

One of the political losers in the last general election has reportedly annoyed his godfather, who lobbied for a top diplomatic position. This is after it emerged that the man will resign and return to prepare for his 2027 bid. The man who supposedly  facilitated the soft landing was allegedly overheard expressing his frustration that despite him going all the way to secure the slot, his friend was unappreciative with the looming resignation. The move, he said, is likely to paint him badly and affect his relationship with the appointing authority.

A few months ago, we reported on a popular blogger who was eyeing a parliamentary seat under one of the leading parties in his home region. At the time, he was enthusiastic about securing the party ticket and was actively praising and defending the party leader despite having criticized him not long before. However, Corridors of Power was aware that he was not the party’s preferred candidate and noted that discussions were already underway to endorse a candidate of higher stature: a former MP who served the constituency for many years and later became a senior national leader. Now, as events have unfolded, the consequences have caught up with him. Having invested heavily in popularizing both his candidacy and the party, he has seemingly recognized the signs on the wall and is venting his frustration publicly.

Still the 2027 preparations, a legislator from the mountain who had been on the frontline in defending the government is said to have been purportedly left high and dry. The man, who isn’t even from the ruling party, was supposedly among the leading figures in an attempt to change the tide in the restive region. He has, however, reportedly fallen out of favour and is back on the drawing board to strategise his political survival. Corridors is informed that the man made a grave mistake when he appeared to seemingly criticize the President regarding some controversial issues. The remark didn’t settle well will the Boss and it is alleged that efforts to explain himself have not saved the situation.

What became of a former MP who was among the foot soldiers of a former national leader? Well, the politician has been missing in the leader’s meetings, and is said to have had an alleged fall out regarding the party’s ticket. The politician had declared interest in a top county elective position on the said party. However, another senior politician with deep pockets emerged and the former MP reportedly realised the ticket might not be easy to get.
