In what has become his early morning habit, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday morning took a walk, this time in Kisumu City.

Clad in a black and red tracksuit bearing his name "Riggy G", the DP also interacted with residents on the way.

Others took the chance to take selfies with the DP.

"It was also a joyous opportunity to interact with the good people of the Lakeside City who were already up and out attending to their hustles," he said.

Gachagua described his walk as "mind-boosting to have a feel of the beauty and breeze from the nearby Lake Victoria".

This is the second day the DP is in the City, accompanying President William Ruto on his four-day development tour.

On Wednesday, Ruto highlighted his administration's broader strategy to enhance job opportunities and economic growth across the country.

He mentioned plans to establish ICT hubs in every constituency to provide employment opportunities for the youth.

He also talked of setting up county aggregation and industrial parks in each county to boost local economies.
