President William Ruto was left in stitches after comedian Bronik Odhiambo, popularly known as Prof. Aduol, delivered a hilarious impersonation of ODM leader Oburu Oginga during a public event.

The comedian, known for mimicking Oburu's unique manner of speaking, had the audience roaring with laughter as he addressed the President in character.

"Your Excellency, the President, the Governor of Ugori county, and the Uriri MP. Is it morning? Good morning. Mr President, I think I'm very much happy. The last time I was here, I told you something special, that there should be some development of democracy for some development to continue the way they are continuing," he said.

Continuing with the imitation, Prof. Aduol jokingly claimed he voted for President Ruto and praised him for empowering young people.

"I voted for you. I voted for you, and it is the truth. I like the energy that you are using to support these young people," he said.

The comedian then appealed to the President to visit Bondo and complete a library project started years ago.

"As the youth leader, I come from Bondo. That is Jaramo, Ugenya, Odinga University. I just want to tell you, come there. There is a library which has been there for so long. Since my father died, it is there. Your Excellency, come so that you can finish that library," he said.

He capped off the performance with the now-viral line: "We are saying 50 term. We are saying 50 terms. I'm so happy. Thank you, Your Excellency."

The remark sent President Ruto into laughter, with leaders seated beside him applauding the comedian's performance.

Prof. Aduol has built a reputation as one of Kenya's most popular political impressionists by perfectly recreating Oburu Oginga’s speech patterns, facial expressions and mannerisms.

His rise to fame accelerated after the death of former ODM leader Raila Odinga in October 2025. A skit in which he portrayed Oburu mourning his younger brother went viral, attracting millions of views across social media and introducing him to a national audience.

Since then, Prof. Aduol has continued entertaining Kenyans with political satire centred on Oburu's public speeches.

He spoke on Monday when President Ruto hosted Migori Youth FC, the 2025/26 National Super League champions, at State House Nairobi.

Ruto handed over a bus to enable the team travel for their league matches across the country.

"In Migori County, we are building a modern stadium to provide the team and the wider community with quality facilities for nurturing local talent. We are empowering young people to contribute to the transformation of our nation and become the architects of Kenya's future," Ruto said.

"Our investments in sports, the creative and digital economy, overseas employment, business support, affordable housing, and infrastructure development are creating millions of jobs and other opportunities for our young people."

The President added that in sports alone, the government is building and upgrading 34 stadia across the country to support talent development and expand opportunities for young people.
