

Detectives in Kisumu have opened investigations following the discovery of a 40-year-old woman found dead in a guest room at a bar in the Obunga area.
The incident was reported after a room attendant discovered the woman unresponsive during routine cleaning on Monday.
The deceased was identified as JA*, a resident of Obunga. The room attendant reportedly found her lying naked on the floor of one guest room and raised an alarm.
Police officers who visited the scene found the body on the floor with no visible physical injuries. However, investigators observed foam coming from her mouth and nose, prompting further inquiries into the cause of death.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the guest room had served as JA's residence for approximately one month and that she had reportedly been using it to host male clients.
Crime scene personnel processed and documented the scene before the body was transferred to the mortuary at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital pending a post-mortem examination.
Detectives are now working to establish the identity of the last person who was with the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding her death. The cause of death remains unknown pending results of post-mortem and ongoing investigations.
Police in Murang’a South Sub-County have launched investigations into the death of a 34-year-old man who succumbed to severe head injuries after allegedly being attacked by unknown assailants.
The deceased, identified as Nickasio Ngugi Nduati, arrived at his home at around 6:30 a.m Monday with blood-stained clothes and visible injuries.
Before collapsing, he reportedly informed his family that he had been attacked by unknown individuals and sustained head injuries to the body.
He was rushed to Maragua Level 4 Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Crime scene personnel documented the scene, and a blood-stained shirt recovered from the deceased’s home was collected and preserved as an exhibit.
The body, which bore multiple head injuries, was transferred to Maragua Level 4 Mortuary pending a post-mortem examination.
Police have opened a murder investigation and are working to establish circumstances surrounding the attack and identify those responsible. No arrests had been reported at the time of the initial report.
Elsewhere, police in Mbeere North Sub-County, Embu County launched investigations into the murder of a local businessman whose body was found lying in a pool of blood along a rural road on Monday morning.
According to police, residents alerted authorities after discovering the body of Njiru Mugao in Kamishara Village, Ndurumori Location.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that the deceased had left his home at around 4:30 a.m. on June 1 to travel to Ishiara Town where he operated a hotel business.
His wife informed investigators that he had departed for work as usual before his body was later discovered on a murram road.
Police found the deceased lying on his back and dressed in black striped trousers and a black-and-white top.
He had sustained several deep cuts to the head, including a wound above the right eyebrow as well as multiple bruises on the head indicating a violent attack.
The scene was processed and documented by investigators before the body was transferred to Embu Level 5 Hospital Mortuary where it will be preserved pending a post-mortem examination.
Detectives have launched investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing and identify those responsible.
