Kenya Re advertises senior job vacancies and tender

The state-owned reinsurer invited qualified candidates to apply for senior and management positions at its Nairobi headquarters.

The corporation also issued a tender notice seeking consultancy services for the development of its Strategic Plan for the 2027–31 period.

Kenya Re, which is listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), described itself as a leading reinsurance company rated B by AM Best and AA+ by the Global Credit Rating Company (GCR).

According to the advertisement, all successful candidates will be employed on permanent and pensionable terms in line with the corporation’s Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual.

The vacancies advertised include: manager risk and compliance, manager claims, manager retakaful, manager research and development, manager human resource management, manager property and manager investments.

Others are assistant manager supply chain, assistant manager retakaful, chief accountant and senior human resource officer

Most of the managerial positions fall under job grade 4C. Assistant manager positions are in job group 3C, while the senior chief resource position is in job group 3B.

The applicants are required to submit their CVs, academic and professional credentials, and cover letters explaining their suitability for the positions.

Applicants are also expected to indicate their current or most recent salaries in their applications.

The corporation further encouraged persons living with disabilities to apply for the advertised opportunities.

Applications can also be submitted through the official recruitment email provided in the advertisement. The deadline for applications is 10th June 2026.

The institution has also invited tenders for the provision of consultancy services on strategic planning for the years 2027–31.

The tender identified as KRC/2026/2788/175 requires interested bidders to submit separate technical and financial proposals. The tender security was set at Sh130,000.

Kenya Re says the documents can be downloaded free of charge from the Kenya Re website or the Public Procurement Portal.

Completed tender documents are to be delivered to the corporation’s offices at Reinsurance Plaza along Aga Khan Walk in Nairobi before 9th June at 10:00 am.

 Late submissions, canvassing or providing false information would lead to automatic disqualification.

Consultancy assignment is expected to help shape its long-term operational strategy amid evolving trends in the insurance and reinsurance industry.
