The announcement opens up opportunities for Kenyans seeking careers in public service and national administration.
In a statement released through the ministry’s official communication channels, the vacancies target professional and leadership positions within the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, as well as the State Department for Correctional Services.
According to the ministry, the available positions are mainly within the Peace Building and Conflict Management Directorate and Government Reception Services.

Meanwhile, the State Department for Correctional Services, headed by Principal Secretary Salome Beacco, has advertised vacancies largely within the Probation Department.
The openings include Secretary, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director positions.
"The largest share of the recruitment falls under the Deputy Director of Probation role, reflecting ongoing government efforts to reorient rehabilitation, offender management, and community-based correctional services," the ministry added.
The hiring drive comes amid the government's aim to implement broader reforms in the security and public administration sectors to improve institutional capacity and address longstanding staff shortages.
The Ministry of Interior further encouraged qualified Kenyans to apply through the Public Service Commission’s official recruitment platform, https://psckjobs.go.ke/

The Ministry of Interior and National Administration plays a central role in maintaining security, public order, and coordination of government services across Kenya.
It is mandated to oversee internal security operations through agencies such as the National Police Service, immigration department, civil registration services, and the correctional institutions.
Its responsibilities include maintaining law and order, coordinating national administration, managing border control and immigration services, issuing identification documents, and overseeing refugee affairs.
The ministry also supervises disaster response coordination, probation and correctional services, as well as peace-building and conflict management initiatives.
In addition, it's responsible for coordinating government operations at the grassroots through regional, county, and sub-county administrators.
This includes ensuring implementation of national government policies and programs across the country.
It also works closely with security agencies to combat crime, terrorism, human trafficking, cybercrime, and other threats to national stability.
Through correctional and probation services, it promotes rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders into society.
Overall, it serves as a key pillar in safeguarding national security, enhancing public service delivery, and promoting peaceful coexistence and effective governance in Kenya.
