Kenyans will now be able to access services offered by the Kenya School of Government through 16 Huduma Centres across the country following a new partnership aimed at improving access to public services.

The rollout was officially launched on Wednesday at the Huduma Centre Uasin Gishu as the government moves to decentralise services and bring them closer to wananchi.

The partnership between the Huduma Kenya and the Kenya School of Government will allow Kenyans to access training-related services and enrolment opportunities at selected Huduma Centres nationwide.

Speaking during the launch, Huduma Kenya Chief Executive Officer CPA Ben Kai Chilumo said the collaboration was part of efforts to improve convenience and enhance integrated government service delivery.

“This partnership demonstrates the government’s commitment to efficiency, convenience and citizen-centred service delivery,” Chilumo said.

He noted that integrating Kenya School of Government services into Huduma Centres would reduce the need for citizens to travel long distances to access training and administrative services offered by the institution.

The Huduma Kenya CEO said the initiative would also help strengthen access to government programmes while improving service delivery through digital and decentralised systems.

Kenya School of Government Director General Nura Mohamed said the partnership would make it easier for more Kenyans to access KSG services across the country.

He said expanding services through Huduma Centres was in line with the government’s agenda of improving accessibility and enhancing public sector efficiency.

“The collaboration is intended to ensure services are closer to citizens while improving accessibility and efficiency in public service delivery,” Prof Mohamed said.

The launch event was attended by Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Edison Nyale as well as Huduma Centre managers from Uasin Gishu, West Pokot and Kitale.

Officials said the rollout forms part of broader efforts by the government to strengthen integrated service delivery by bringing more public services under one roof through Huduma Centres.

Huduma Centres have increasingly become key access points for government services, offering citizens a centralised platform to access documentation, registration and other public services.

The addition of Kenya School of Government services is expected to expand opportunities for Kenyans seeking training and professional development programmes offered by the institution.

The government said the partnership reflects ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing bureaucratic barriers and improving public access to government services across the country.
