The Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (PSASB) has advertised nine job vacancies, inviting qualified and competent candidates to apply.
The board is a semi-autonomous government agency under the National Treasury, mandated with the critical responsibility of developing and setting high-quality accounting, financial reporting and internal audit standards for all state organs and public entities across the country.
PSASB has now called upon qualified individuals to fill these strategic positions on or before May 4.
The advertised positions include a director and an assistant director in accounting standards, a deputy director in human resources and administration, an assistant director in internal audit, and an assistant director in internal audit standards.
Other vacancies include two principal internal audit standards officers, four principal accounting standards officers, one principal office administrator and one driver.
Interested applicants are required to access detailed job descriptions, requirements, and responsibilities on the PSASB official website under the careers section.
"Qualified and interested applicants who meet the specific criteria should submit their job applications through our official recruitment portal at jobs.psasb.go.ke," the agency stated.
PSASB said it does not charge any fee whatsoever at any stage of the recruitment process.
Applicants are therefore advised to be wary of fraudsters who might attempt to extort money in the name of the board.
The agency has issued a stern warning against the presentation of fake certificates or falsified documents, saying such actions constitute a serious criminal offence and will be dealt with accordingly under the law.
PSASB has particularly encouraged youths, women, and persons with disabilities to take advantage of this opportunity and apply for the vacant positions.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage of the recruitment process.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to present valid clearance certificates from the relevant institutions, including the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), and the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
"Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification," PSASB said.
