Qualified professionals have been
asked to apply for positions in research, administrative, finance, legal and
planning departments.
The announcement, publicised on
government platforms and the centre’s vacancies portal, marks one of the most
significant hiring exercises the crime research body has undertaken to
strengthen its operational and research capacities.
Established
under the National Crime Research Centre Act No 4 of 1997, NCRC’s mandate is to
conduct evidence-based research on crime causation and prevention, and to
disseminate findings to government agencies.
The expanded recruitment drive
reflects a renewed focus on data-driven strategies to support crime prevention
and policy formulation.
According
to the recruitment details, the centre is seeking competent, proactive and
self-driven individuals to fill 22 diverse roles.
These include three assistant director
research positions, which are among the most senior research leadership roles
responsible for guiding the design, execution and dissemination of crime
studies.
Other
senior appointments include assistant director finance, assistant director
human resource and principal planning officer, all key strategic leadership
positions.
The
recruitment list also features five senior research officer roles, a senior
knowledge management officer and a senior officer administrator.
professional support positions
include human resource management officer, supply chain anagement officer,
accountant, legal officer, internal auditor, corporate communications officer,
records management officer and office administrator.
Applicants
are required to apply online through the official NCRC recruitment portal and
submit supporting documents, including CVs, academic certificates, and relevant
professional clearances by 5 pm EAT on March 2.
The centre says only shortlisted
candidates will be contacted for interviews and that canvassing will lead to
automatic disqualification.
