A 34-year-old man was killed in a dramatic fight with revelers at a bar in Narok Town.
Police said Codmas Ekeno was hit on the head with a blunt object and died instantly during the Tuesday, December 2 incident.
No arrest had been made by Thursday in connection with the murder, police said, adding they were pursuing good leads into the incident.
His body was found lying on the roadside in a pool of blood long after the attack.
Police said preliminary findings show the deceased was involved in an altercation with a group of revelers in the area over a woman who was his relative.
The deceased had been called by his brother to help get his wife out of the bar where she was taking refreshments.
It was then that Ekeno was hit and killed.
The assailants escaped the scene. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures. Police said they are hunting for the attackers.
A similar incident happened in Matungulu, Machakos County, where a 26-year-old man was stabbed and killed in an altercation outside a bar.
Police and witnesses said Dennis Momanyi was stabbed by people known to him and who had earlier been engaged in a quarrel with him.
Momanyi had earlier quarreled with his killers inside the bar before the assailants left. They later called him outside the bar, where they fatally stabbed him.
The attackers fled soon after the murder.
Police said Momanyi was stabbed on the left side of his chest. The motive of the incident was not immediately established, police said of the November 30 tragedy.
In Mulwanda, Kakamega County, a guard was killed in a robbery at the local Mulwanda Municipal Council Market.
Police said the body of Joel Makomere Otundo, 62, was found dead after the robbery. Several stalls had been broken into and valuables stolen.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. The hunt for suspects is ongoing, police said of the Tuesday incident, adding they are investigating the murder.
In Othaya, Nyeri County, police said they were investigating an incident where a 40-year-old woman was found dead in her bed.
The woman, identified as Bilha Kibira, was found unresponsive in bed by her 12-year-old daughter on Tuesday, long after she had died.
Police said there were blood spots on her pillow when the body was found.
The body did not have visible injuries, police said, as they moved it to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further procedures.
