The event, held in Nairobi, brought together parents, students, health sector leaders, partners and faculty in celebration of the institution’s continued growth and its expanding role in Kenya’s medical training landscape.
During the ceremony, Principal Martin Mungai praises the graduating class, describing their journey as one defined by resilience, discipline and strong academic performance.
He said the college remains anchored on academic excellence, discipline and professionalism, values he noted have shaped TKHMTC’s steady rise over the years.

He referenced advancements such as artificial intelligence in diagnostics, telemedicine, and simulation-based learning as central to how graduates are being equipped for the future of work.
The institution’s Chief Executive Officer, Juliet W. Gikonyo, highlighted what she described as remarkable institutional expansion.
She pointed to the increasing student population, the launch of new programmes including community heart health promotion, and strengthened collaborations with global and regional partners.

“Our graduates are equipped not just with skills, but with the compassion and human touch that define excellent healthcare,” she said.
Board Chair Dr Betty Gikonyo reflected on the College’s growth trajectory, recalling the humble beginning of only nine students in 2013 to the current population of 279.

She noted the institution’s track record of a 100 per cent national exam pass rate and the growing footprint of its alumni who are now serving in various healthcare systems locally and internationally.
She urged the graduates to embrace technology without losing sight of empathy and integrity, qualities she said remain central to patient care.
Co-founder Dr Dan Gikonyo encouraged the graduates to view the ceremony not as a culmination but as the start of a broader journey.
“Today, you have climbed one hill. But from this hill, you will see many more on the horizon. Keep moving forward, keep rising, and keep becoming. The world is open for you to go out and conquer it,” he said.

He assured parents that the graduates had received high-quality training under committed leadership and a strong faculty backed by The Karen Hospital’s support.
“These students have been mentored and trained using the latest state-of-the-art equipment. They are prepared for modern healthcare demands and ready to serve the world with competence and confidence,” he said.

The leadership praised the Class of 2025 for their determination and readiness to enter the healthcare workforce at a time when the country continues to face growing demand for qualified professionals.
“Congratulations, Class of 2025,” they affirmed. “You are prepared, you are capable, and you are needed.”
The ceremony marked a defining moment for TKHMTC, reinforcing its place among Kenya’s emerging centres for advanced health training and signalling its future aspirations as it moves toward university status.
