Suluhu's swearing-in

The ceremony took place under tight security at the capital, where uniformed officers, senior government officials, and dignitaries gathered for the swearing-in ritual.
The public was not allowed to attend the event, but the proceedings were broadcast live by state-run TBC, allowing citizens to follow the ceremony from their homes.
Samia was declared the winner of the presidential election on Saturday with 98 per cent of the vote.
During the ceremony, Samia took the oath of office before the Chief Justice, standing before the national flag and flanked by military honour guards.
The event was formal and measured, marked by the rhythmic salutes of the parade battalion and the symbolic handover of state instruments of power.

President William Ruto on Monday oversaw the groundbreaking for Kaishan Olkaria Geothermal Power and Kaishan Olkaria Fertiliser plants in Nakuru County.
Accompanying the President for the commissioning of the project in Naivasha constituency was Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi.
Chinese engineering company Kaishan Group Co. Ltd, through subsidiary Kaishan Terra Green Ammonia Limited, has signed a steam supply agreement with KenGen for a planned 165.4-MW geothermal power plant in Kenya, which will produce 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia and green fertiliser annually.
Under the terms of the agreement, Kaishan will be constructing the power plant and will be receiving steam from KenGen’s operational geothermal fields.
