Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday arrived at Raila Amollo Odinga’s Opoda Farm in Bondo to pay his final respects to the fallen opposition leader.

Kalonzo, dressed in jungle green and carrying a spear and shield, led his team in a symbolic entrance to the homestead, chanting “Jowi! Jowi!” a traditional Luo expression of honour and mourning reserved for great leaders.

The delegation, which left Kisumu early Thursday morning, first visited the Opoda home before proceeding to Kango Kajaramogi, where the late ODM leader was laid to rest.

They offered prayers and laid wreaths at his gravesite. After the solemn ceremony, the team was expected to return to Opoda Farm, where speeches celebrating Raila’s legacy and political journey would be delivered.

In a show of unity and cultural respect, the Wiper delegation is also presenting a gift of 150 head of cattle to the Odinga family, a traditional gesture symbolising solidarity, respect, and shared mourning among communities.
