The Premier League Trophy, a symbol of sporting excellence and pride, is on display in Nairobi as part of an international showcase celebrating football’s universal appeal.

The English Premier League Trophy, designed and produced by luxury silversmiths Asprey London, embodies elegance and craftsmanship.

Made from solid sterling silver and featuring a 24-carat silver gilt crown, the trophy stands 104 centimetres tall and weighs about 25 kilograms. Its plinth is crafted from malachite, a rare green semi-precious stone representing the lush green fields of play.

The trophy’s design is rich with symbolism. The Premier League’s crowned lion logo dominates the front, while two smaller lions rest on the handles. When a team captain lifts the trophy, he becomes the “third lion,” a powerful metaphor for victory and unity.

Despite its grandeur and global reputation, the trophy’s material value is estimated at between £8,000 and £10,000. However, its true worth lies in the glory it represents—the culmination of months of dedication, teamwork, and passion by clubs competing at the highest level of English football.
