Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen Friday hosted a popular TikToker who recently went viral for comically trolling him over his outfit during a tense scene at Kasarani stadium.

Murkomen met Zedekiah alias Papa Lewiso at his Harambee House office.
“Umekuja ofisi yangu na pencil?” Murkomen joked as he welcomed him to his office, sparking laughter.
“Alijua nakuja ndiyo maana hana pencil (He knew I was coming, that’s why he’s not wearing a pencil today),” Lewiso shot back, keeping the humorous tone that made his video trend online.
During their light-hearted conversation, Lewiso recounted that on the day the clip was filmed, he was among hundreds of Kenyans who had gathered at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to receive the body of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga before heading to Kasarani.
He said he even shook hands with Murkomen at the venue moments before the now-famous footage was captured.
In the viral clip, Lewiso is heard saying: “Murkomen ndiyo huyu, Murkomen nisaidie 100 niweke data mimi sitaki pesa mingi. Mheshimiwa Murkomen...na amevaa tight bwana... Bwana Murkomen amevaa pencil!”
Someone the interjected: “Hata si mheshimiwa, ni minister." To which Lewiso added: "A whole minister na anavaa tight, bwana hawa watu wanatuangusha sana.”

The video, which spread widely across social media, shows Murkomen running alongside aides and security officers after chaos erupted at Kasarani shortly after Raila's body arrived at the venue for public viewing.

Moments before the public was allowed to view, security officers had to fire in the air to calm the situation.

Some of the attendees wanted to force their way into the VIP areas where the body was being prepared.

Others were seen throwing twigs at the security officers and VIP area.

However, Lewiso clarified during the meeting that the sound in the viral video was originally from a different event and had been edited for comical effect.

“It was just for fun, the clip was synced for entertainment, not to mock,” he told the CS.

Murkomen appeared to take the matter in good spirits, engaging warmly with the comedian and even asking for his phone number.

“Nipe namba nikuwekee data yako sasa,” Murkomen joked.
