A bodaboda rider was found murdered after he had been robbed of his motorcycle in Emenwa area, Nyamache, Kisii County.

Police said the body of Brian Oseko, 25, was found on Thursday, October 9, 2025, morning, lying on the Emenwa-Makonge Road after his murder.

The assailants are yet to be found.

The body had injuries in the head, police said. His motorcycle was missing after the robbery.

Other riders said he had been hired by two men to take them to the Gitae village when they, on the way, turned out to be thugs and attacked and left him dead.

They disappeared with the motorcycle.

Police said they are investigating the murder. Police want riders to always cooperate with attackers planning to rob them of the motorcycles for their own safety.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

In Londiani, Kericho County, the police said they are investigating the discovery of human remains at a carrot farm.

A local farmer in the Chemare area said he was harvesting carrots when he found the remains.

Police were called to the scene and carried a skull and several bones, an underwear, a pair of socks, and a bedsheet believed to have been used to wrap the body.

The locals suspect the remains are of a 42-year-old man identified as Stephen Kimani, who went missing in August 2012.

Police moved the bones to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

Police believe the victim was murdered elsewhere and the body was dumped at the secondary scene.

The motive of the murder is yet to be known, police said. The autopsy will seek to establish how he died and identify the victim, police said.

Murder incidents have been on the rise amid efforts to solve the incidents so far reported.

Elsewhere in Nakuru’s Teachers area, a man was found murdered in a residential house.

Neighbours said they heard screams from the house and responded there when they established that one Erastus Kingori, 55, had been killed.

The deceased was the caretaker of the house and is believed to have been attacked by unknown people on Wednesday morning.

The attack fatally injured his neck. Police said the assailants escaped the scene soon after achieving their mission.

The motive of the murder was not established, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
