

Detectives are investigating an incident where a bodaboda rider
dropped a body of a man and escaped from a hospital in Kamulu area,
Nairobi.
The deceased man had been stabbed in the chest, police said.
The rider with another man rode to a hospital in the Ruai area and dropped the man, saying he needed immediate attention.
The incident happened on Sunday, September
21, 2025 morning.
The
two then helped to carry the man to the emergency area, where on being checked, it was found he was unresponsive.
The
medical personnel said as they were busy checking and attending to the man, the
rider and his pillion passenger sped off from the area.
The personnel called the police, who arrived at the facility and confirmed the man had been brought there.
The body was found to have a stab wound on the left chest. An identification card identifying him as Augustine Muteti, 32 was found in his pocket.
Nairobi police boss George Seda said they are investigating the incident with the intention of establishing the
motive and those behind it.
The
body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Meanwhile, police in Suna, Migori county are investigating an incident where a man was lynched by a mob in an attack after being accused of being a thief.
A second victim was rushed to hospital with serious wounds.
The incident happened in the Nyironge area, police said.
The deceased, aged 26 died on the spot while his 19-year-old
accomplice was admitted in hospital in serious condition.
Police moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Police
discourage mob lynching and want suspects be surrendered to authorities for
action.
Cases of mob lynching have been on the rise both in urban and rural areas amid efforts to address the trend.
Police want suspects to be surrendered for processing and prosecution.
