ODM leader Raila Odinga has convened the party's Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting this morning to, among other things, discuss next month’s 20th anniversary celebrations.

ODM members of both the National Assembly and Senate will meet their leader at Argyle Grand Hotel, along Mombasa Road.

The meeting is set to begin at 8.30 am.

The legislators were invited by National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed via a memo dated 18th September.

The meeting also comes a day before sessions resume in parliament after a long recess.

The last parliamentary meeting ODM had was a joint one held alongside the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

CS Murkomen takes Jukwaa la Usalama meeting to Mandera

Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen will be in Mandera County for the Northeastern edition of the Jukwaa la Usalama meetings.

This follows a successful completion of the Nyanza edition of the security engagements.

In Mandera, the CS will begin his day with a security briefing at the County Commissioner before meeting county security officers and residents.

Murkomen says the engagements have helped the government understand the challenges security officers face at the grassroots.

CS Miano to preside over marking of World Rhino Day

Tourism and Wildlife CS Rebecca Miano will on Monday preside over the marking of the World Rhino Day at Elsa Community Grounds in Isiolo County.

The event will be held under the theme “Standing Together for Rhino Conservation. Protect Rhinos to safeguard Kenya's heritage, biodiversity and economy”.

On this day, Kenya celebrates incredible progress as Kenya's rhino population has grown from 381 in 1987 to over 1,600 today.
