

President William Ruto on Sunday visited Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi at his Sidindi home in Siaya county.
The President was accompanied by leaders including Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga among others.
President Ruto was warmly received by the CS and his family where they interacted and posed for photos.
“Thank you, President William Ruto, for calling on us at our Sidindi residence, Siaya County. Ubarikiwe,” Wandayi said in a statement on X.

Earlier, Ruto attended a Sunday service at St Peter’s Cathedral Church, Anglican Church of Kenya, Diocese of Maseno West, Siaya county.
He later commissioned the Ugunja–Sega–Ukwala Water Supply and Sanitation Project and addressed the people of Magoya.
Ruto said the government is delivering safe, clean, and affordable drinking water to households across the country;transforming livelihoods, improving sanitation, and enhancing the quality of life for every Kenyan.

The President presided over the ground-breaking of the Sidindi Fresh Produce Market, a modern facility that will empower farmers, traders, and small businesses to thrive.
He engaged with Ugunja town residents and traders, reaffirming the government’s commitment to construct 18 modern markets across the county.
Ruto said the markets will provide decent trading spaces, expand opportunities for entrepreneurs, and become engines of inclusive economic growth.
