Three people are receiving treatment at a hospital after
sustaining serious injuries in a Makueni road accident.
The trio were rushed to Tawa Level 4 Hospital in Mbooni
Subcounty after a private car they were travelling in overturned along the
Tawa–Ngoluni Road at Kavemba area on Saturday morning.
Eyewitnesses said the car’s driver lost control before it rolled several times during the incident.
The trio were rescued by well-wishers
who promptly rushed them to the hospital.
Elsewhere in Emali within the same Makueni County, a woman
died after she reportedly set herself on fire using petrol in a suicide
incident.
The 29-year-old woman succumbed to the burns on Saturday at
Kenyatta National Hospital, where she had been rushed after the incident.
Nzaui Subcounty Police Commander Agnes Kunga confirmed the
woman’s death.
The woman is said to have sustained 70 per cent burns during
the incident
