

President William Ruto visited the United Kingdom, accompanied by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and other officials.
The President's visit focuses on sealing major economic and diplomatic agreements while championing global financial reform.
Following his arrival on Tuesday, Ruto held a bilateral meeting with the newly elected UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, at 10 Downing Street, London.
During the meeting, Ruto and the UK Prime Minister signed the renewed Kenya-UK Strategic Partnership 2025–2030.
President Ruto acknowledged that the Kenya-UK Strategic partnership has been renewed, laying a strong foundation for increased trade, investment, and sustainable growth.
The agreement is designed to foster cooperation between the two countries across various sectors.
“This pact will also advance our shared development goals in climate, ICT and regional peace and security,” Ruto said.
"This will create more economic opportunities, generate inclusive growth, and sustainably unlock our prosperity."
Ruto said Kenya will advance with clarity of purpose, calculated confidence and steadfast resolve in showcasing its vast investment opportunities across the globe.
He noted that as a country, we will not be on the sidelines but at the centre of the globe.
"We will not be on the sidelines but at the centre of the shifts in the global economy that have given rise to new trade patterns," he noted
The President also visited the King's Cross Railways Station, noting that Kenya would benchmark the travel hub.
"We will draw lessons from the UK's thriving system to deliver the Nairobi Railway City, a grand project that will revolutionise our public transport," he said.
