Gor Mahia have fired the entire technical bench, including team security personnel, in a sweeping move aimed at restructuring ahead of the 2025/26 season.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the club said the decision was reached following a “comprehensive internal review” and forms part of a broader plan to strengthen the team’s technical and operational capacity.

“This decision follows a comprehensive internal review and is part of the Club's broader restructuring process aimed at strengthening its technical and operational capacity in preparation for the upcoming 2025/26 season,” the statement read.

The club emphasised that the separation was reached “amicably and in good faith,” and acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing staff.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to the individuals involved for their commitment, professionalism, and service to the Club during their tenure,” Gor Mahia noted.

The move signals a fresh start for the record the champions, who said they are now focused on laying a strong foundation for success both on and off the pitch.

“As we begin a new chapter, Gor Mahia FC remains committed to building a solid foundation that will support competitive excellence both on and off the pitch,” the club added.

The club has not yet named replacements for the outgoing staff but promised further announcements on the new technical setup “in due course.”

The changes come as Gor Mahia eyes a stronger campaign in the 2025/26 season following a mixed run in recent competitions.

Gor Mahia has had a high coaching turnover, with 16 coaches over 10 years, alternating between foreign and local tacticians.

They have had three coaches this season.

Leonardo Neiva, a Brazilian, was appointed on July 1, 2024, succeeding Northern Ireland’s Jonathan McKinstry.

His reign was short-lived as he was fired in mid-November 2024 after a poor start.

Zedekiah Otieno served as interim head coach from November 2024, alongside assistant Michael Nam. He led Gor back to third place.

On February 3, 2025, Sinica Mihic was appointed head coach for the remainder of the 2024/25 season but was fired with Otieno taking over the reign.
