purchased.
To start, dial *977# on your phone.
From the menu that appears, select Option 1 – Prepaid
Services.
Then choose 'Latest Tokens' and enter or select your meter
number. You will receive an SMS with the last three tokens linked to that
meter.
This feature is helpful in various situations—when someone
deletes a token message by mistake, when a phone crashes and erases message
history, or when there’s uncertainty about whether the last token was
successfully entered. It is also useful when other household members need
access to the most recent tokens.
In addition to retrieving lost tokens, the same USSD code
can be used to view a breakdown of what your electricity token payment covered.
To access this, dial *977#, select Option 1 (Prepaid
Services), and then choose 'Token Details'.
Enter or select your meter number, and pick the specific
token you want details for. Kenya Power will send an SMS with a detailed
breakdown showing what the token paid for.
These USSD options give prepaid customers quick and reliable
access to vital information about their electricity usage.
They help improve
convenience, especially when users need to recover deleted messages or confirm
how their payments were spent.
Kenya Power encourages all customers to use the *977# code
for self-service, especially for basic queries like retrieving tokens or
