Police in Makadara have launched an investigation after the body of an unidentified man was found lying near the railway line opposite in Buruburu, Nairobi county.
The discovery was made on July 20, 2025, when members of the public alerted officers at Lungalunga Police Station around 9:30 am.
A team of officers from the station, alongside detectives from Makadara, arrived at the scene to find the man, believed to be about 35 years old, lying face down and surrounded by stones.
According to the police report, the man had suffered severe head injuries, with blood oozing from his nose, ears, and mouth. A blood‑stained stone, suspected to be the killer object, was found nearby.
The scene was processed and documented by Makadara crime scene personnel, and the body was taken to the Nairobi City Mortuary for post‑mortem examination and identification.
Meanwhile, in Nakuru County, detectives are grappling with a series of brutal and puzzling deaths.
In Naivasha Sub‑county, the mutilated body of an unidentified woman was discovered on June 17, 2025, near the railway line in Maili Mbili village, Karagita area.
The woman’s body was found with only the head and chest intact, while her limbs were missing. Police conducted a thorough scene examination, but efforts to locate the missing body parts were unsuccessful.
The remains were taken to the Naivasha Sub‑county Referral Hospital Mortuary as investigations continue.
In a separate incident, a 32‑year‑old man identified as Pius Morebu was found dead in Kaptembwo, Nakuru West, on June 16, 2025.
The body, which had fresh marks around the neck, was discovered early in the morning beside a footpath connecting Mother Kevin and Kaptembwo Road.
Police secured the scene and moved the body to the Nakuru Level 5 Hospital Mortuary. No weapon was recovered, and no arrests have been made so far.
An inquest has been opened as authorities work to unravel the circumstances behind his death.
These incidents highlight a troubling trend of unsolved deaths across the country, prompting calls for vigilance and thorough police investigations to shed light on the circumstances and ensure justice for the victims.
