
The 3rd Cabinet Retreat and Midterm review at the KCB Leadership Institute in Karen, Nairobi, enters its second day. It commenced on Thursday, June 19.
The retreat,
officially opened by President William Ruto, brings together Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and other senior government officials.
It is being held in Karen.
The national executive retreat provides a moment to take stock of progress, evaluate impact and make informed decisions about the path ahead.
It focuses on the progress made in the Kenya Kwanza's Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
The agenda focuses on six strategic areas of lowering the cost of living, eliminating hunger, creating jobs, widening the tax base, improving foreign exchange balance and promoting inclusive growth.
MPs to visit Mathari

The National Assembly’s Departmental Committee on Health will conduct a fact-finding mission at the Mathari Teaching and Referral Hospital.
The members are visiting to assess the status of the hospital, including its facilities and the quality of services offered to the public.
Budget and Appropriations Committee meetings
The Budget and Appropriations Committee is scheduled to hold meetings beginning today to consider the Supplementary Estimates No. 3 for FY 2024/2025.
The committee will receive a briefing by the Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) on the unpacking of the Supplementary Estimates No. 3 for FY 2024/2025 and also hold a meeting with the Departmental Committee chairpersons to discuss additional requests as well as Article 223 requests on Supplementary Estimates No.3 for FY 2024/25.
The Supplementary Estimates were laid before the House on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
They were then referred to the Budget and Appropriations Committee for consideration and approval.
