
President William Ruto has condoled with the family of Meru Deputy Governor Isaac M'Ethingia following the death of his mother.
In his message of solace, the President described Mama Joyce as God-fearing and wished her family God's comfort as they mourned her demise.
"Our condolences to Meru Deputy Governor Isaac M'Ethingia for the loss of his dear mother, Joyce. She was a responsible, God-fearing, and progressive lady who was dedicated to serving the community," Ruto said.
"May God comfort the family and the people of Meru at this sad time. Rest in Peace."
Kenyans joined the President in wishing his family strength during this difficult period.
M'Ethingia is currently serving as the Deputy Governor of Meru County under the leadership of Governor Kawira Mwangaza.
He was a senior officer in the Kenya Prisons Service, where he exhibited strong leadership skills and a commitment to upholding the law.
In addition, he served as a Reverend in the Methodist Churches of Kenya, exemplifying his dedication to spiritual and community development.
M'Ethingia has held various leadership positions and contributed significantly to the betterment of his community.
He served as a Child Rights Advocate with Plan International, Chairman of several esteemed institutions, Youth Representative for Habitat for Humanity in the Mount Kenya Region, and Human Rights Officer and Inmate Rehabilitation Program Implementer within the prison services.
