Micheal Magoha, son of former Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha, on Thursday, broke down as he eulogised his father.
Speaking during the requiem mass at Consolata Shrine, Micheal would pose and say, 'I'm okay guys, don't worry'. He said this as he wiped tears from his eyes.
When one of the family members in the church walked up to console him, Michael would stop them.
"Don't worry, he would have wanted me to do this alone," Michael said.
He narrated how his father was his pillar and a hope to many people who looked up to him.
"All through my life, if I ever needed my dad, he was always available, it didn't matter where he was," he narrated.
"He always kept it simple, he always said do what you are supposed to do when you are supposed to do it," he said
He also recounted how he compared himself to other children in school but his father would tell him to go ask his classmates why they have so many clothes.
"He laughed so hard, I miss his laugh, it was really heavy," he said
"My dad was [peoplés] hope and that will continue."
Magoha will be laid to rest at his home in Umiru, Nyamnina on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
