KK Security has started a project to raise the standard of security dogs handling in Africa.

The firm has invested in training the handlers.

“We are training the handlers to have good and total control of the dogs so that they can effectively and efficiently assist in the arrest of criminals and deter crime,” said KK Security’s K9 unit group manager Ndurumo Steven.

He was speaking on Saturday during the graduation of four dog handlers who were trained by a consultant from a British dog academy.

Simon Mallin, the director of the UK-based Malpeet K9 Academy, was seconded to KK from the British National Association of Security Dog Users.
