President William Ruto on Friday attended the Genowa Governor's Cup Tournament at the Raila Odinga stadium in Homa Bay county.
Leaders present at the event included host Governor Gladys Wanga, Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, Africa Union Commission chairperson candidate Raila Odinga and a host of leaders from the county.
"Our renewed investment in sports unites and broadens economic opportunities for our youth, weaning them off anti-social behaviour," Ruto said on X.
Genowa Governor's Cup Tournament is held annually.
"We are excited to welcome President William Ruto to Homa Bay County. Karibu Rais and thank you for your support and belief in the talented young people of Homa Bay. Let's make this tournament one to remember," Governor Wanga said on X.
