Kenyans across the country on Thursday took to the streets to demonstrate over the Finance Bill 2024.

There were running battles between the protesters and the police for the better part of the day.

As of Thursday 7 pm, youthful protesters were still demonstrating in Nairobi CBD.

They carried placards and lit bonfires in the streets of the city as they chanted songs.

This comes hours after the Finance Bill passed the second reading stage with 204 MPs voting to approve it against 115 who rejected it.
