Migori County secondary schools rugby 15s champions Anjego Mixed has been handed a tough pool in the Sevens championships which kick off on Thursday at Kubweye Mixed Secondary School.
Anjego will face Pe Hill and hosts Kubweye in Pool ‘D’ according to the draws released by Migori County Secondary Schools Sports Association secretary George Kichana.
Anjego, under the tutelage of principal and head coach J. J Masime upset giants Kanga High and St Joseph’s Rapogi to lift the 15s title during the Term One games.
Masime is confident his charges will repeat the heroics at Kubweye.
“We want to prove that our win in the 15s was not a fluke. My boys have set sights on the regional championships to be held in Kisii next month,” said Masime, a veteran rugby coach.
