The Michael Olunga Foundation Academy (MOFA) coach Charles Warinda says Wednesday’s National Super League (NSL) fixture with Kisumu All Stars is a good test for his side.
The Nyanza Derby will be played at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
“It has not been easy for the boys to play three games in eight days. Sometimes in situations like this, you have to rotate the squad. We have to be mentally and physically prepared for the game. I know Kisumu All Stars players are motivated, having roped in a new coach, and the players will fight to impress him,” he said.

On Sunday, MOFA battled to a barren draw against Talanta FC while Kisumu All Stars recorded their third win of the season after a hard-fought 1-0 over visiting Naivas FC. It was a winning start for coach Duncan Omondi, who joined the club last week.
Elsewhere, Kibera Black Stars coach Idd Badi is looking forward to their encounter against log leaders Migori Youth. The early kick-off will be played at Gems Cambridge College in Nairobi at 11 am. After a five-game losing streak, Kibera Black Stars have recorded two wins on the trot.
They are seeking their third consecutive win.
“We want to push more and win against Migori Youth. We want to reduce the gap so that by the end of the year, we are among the top five teams. We respect it, it’s a good team, but we don’t fear them,” said Badi.
Migori Youth will bank on the league’s top scorer, Syphas Otieno, for goals against the rejuvenated Black Stars. So far, he has scored 10 goals.
Newly promoted Gucha Stars will seek their first win of the season when they face Naivas at Vapour Grounds in Ngong, while Equity Bank host Darajani Gogo at Mashuru Complex in Kajiado County.
Newly appointed Fortune Sacco coach Vincent Nyaberi is seeking his third win when they host Talanta at Kianyaga Stadium, while Vihiga United and Nairobi City play at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu.
Mombasa United welcome Mwatate United at KPA Sports Club in Mombasa as Luanda Villa and Nzoia Sugar face off at Mumboha Grounds in Luanda.
In a rescheduled match, Kabati Youth will tackle Soy United at Thika Stadium on Saturday.
The game was moved from Wednesday since Soy United were scheduled to play Gor Mahia in the ongoing Piny Luo Festival in Migori.
