Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has returned to training after three months out with a muscle injury.

The England international, 28, has made just two appearances this season after sustaining the injury in late August.

Fellow left-back Tyrell Malacia has also been suffering from a knee problem and has yet to feature this campaign.

Sergio Reguilon, the loan signing from Spurs, has provided cover, with Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof and Sofyan Amrabat also filling in at left-back.

Manager Erik ten Hag has had to deal with a number of injuries this season, with goalkeeper Andre Onana the latest to pick up a knock playing for Cameroon during the international break.

Onana is being assessed as the Red Devils prepare for a Premier League trip to Everton on Sunday and a Champions League visit to Galatasaray three days later.

Lisandro Martinez (foot), Casemiro (thigh) and Christian Eriksen (knee) are all definitely out while Jonny Evans (thigh), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (illness) and Rasmus Hojlund (thigh) are doubtful.
