Kenya has dropped yet again in the latest Fifa Men’s Football ranking from position 109 down to 110 in rankings released on Thursday by the World Football governing body.
According to the latest rankings, Harambee Stars accumulated a total of 1186.85 points.
Stars have been on a high recently drawing 2-2 against 2018 World Cup hosts Russia in a match played in Turkey on October 16.
They also won against the 2022 World Cup hosts Qatar in a match played in Qatar that ended in a 2-1 win.
Their drop-in position can, however, may be attributed to the 1-0 loss they suffered at the Moi Stadium Kasarani against neighbouring South Sudan.
The matches came as international friendlies to prepare the team for the Fifa 2026 World Cup qualifiers that are set to start next month.
Kenya is grouped with Ivory Coast, Gabon, The Gambia, Burundi and Seychelles. Stars begin their campaign against Gabon on November 16.
Despite their drop in the global rankings, Harambee Stars are still holding their ground as the second-best team in the Cecafa (Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations) region.
Morocco continues to maintain its position as the top-ranked team on the African continent, securing the 13th spot globally with 1658.49 accumulated points.
They are followed closely by Senegal at position 20 and Tunisia at position 32, rounding out the leading three countries in Africa.
Argentina are still the leading nation globally with 1861.29 points over their closest challengers, France who sit second with 1853.11.
Brazil comes in third, England sits at position four with Belgium rounding up the top five nations in men’s football globally.
