Reigning women champions Nairobi Water Queens have two matches on the card as they go all out to win the Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) league crown with a clean run.

The Jack Ochieng-coached side will take on New Navigators on Saturday and confront fourth-placed Rangers in what looks like a tight duel.

After his team's 34-15 victory over Amazon last Sunday, Ochieng revealed that his target remains winning the league without losing any game.

"I have four matches left to play and by all standards, they are not easy matches at all. But we are working hard daily," said Ochieng, whose charges have so far won 18 straight fixtures.

Water Queens, who are gunning for their ninth successive title, have tight encounters against second-placed Ulinzi Sharks and National Cereals and Produce Board, who are second and third on the log respectively.

Bungoma-based Rangers, who stunned Ulinzi 32-29 in February in one of the league's top upsets, also play New Hope, Net Navigators and NCPB.

In the men's matchup, Strathmore University have two matches against Desert Scorpion and Ulinzi. The match against Ulinzi will no doubt have a bearing on the title race.

The students' coach Peter Mwathi said he is targeting a Super Cup slot which means he must finish among the top six teams. They are fifth on the log with 24 points.

He said they will have a strategy to break the Ulinzi's defence. "We must go for scores against Ulinzi," Mwathi noted.

Should the students stop the soldiers, then the unbeaten NCPB will clinch their second national title in a row.

They have played 17 games and have 34 points. Rangers and Net Navigators will complete their fixtures for the season after their four matches.

Ulinzi Sharks play Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUATS ) while Rising Star face Kenyatta University before taking on Nets.
