Kenya Boys beat Tanzania 95-81 in their second FIBA Under-18 Africa Zone 5 Championship game at the Lugogo Indoor Arena in Kampala, Uganda on Monday.

The Kenyans, who suffered an 81-52 thumping at the hands of Rwanda, got off to a bright first quarter, leading 29-17.

The Tanzanians closed in 20-18 in the third but Kenya stretched the lead to 26-20 in the third. The losers took the fourth 26-20.

Powell Owibo powered Kenya's onslaught with 23 points. Patrick Githura nailed 20, Remugius Tero shot 16 and Ryan Otieno added 15.

The Ugandans then went full throttle, attacking Kenya as they looked to bag a century mark that just fell short by three points.
