Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) are going for nothing short of maximum points when they host reigning champions Equity Bank in Mombasa this weekend.

Coach Anthony Ojukwu said his charges are peaking at the right time and he remains confident of a win at their Makande Welfare Hall backyard.

"I am aware of how dangerous Equity is but we will give them no room to breathe. We will suffocate them and hit them on transition," he said. "We lost to them in the first leg and we can't afford another loss. We will play our usual game and I believe we will win."

Equity Bank is the only team with a clean run from 11 matches.

They have 22 points while KPA are second on 21 points after weekend wins over Kenyatta University Oryx and Storms.

"The Nairobi results were encouraging. Our intention is to go all the way, taking advantage of our current momentum. I have players capable of doing that," added Ojukwu.

KPA will start the weekend with a fixture against the visiting Africa Nazarene University (ANU) and Ojukwu said he will go slow in this match.

"We will not go hard on ANU since we have a really tough game against Equity the following day. I will have to balance the squad well to achieve our goal," he revealed.

Champions Ulinzi Warriors continue to impress in the men's Premier League with 29 points from 15 games. Equity Bank are second on 25, Terrorists third on 22 with Umoja (20) and KPA (19) completing the top five.
