KBF play offs to be played on Fridays, says Amoko

The Kenya Basketball Federation play offs will for the first time ever tip-off on a Friday night, officials announced yesterday.

Joseph Amoko, the KBF competitions secretary disclosed yesterday that the postseason matches will be played for three days every week beginning September 6.

“We have new plans for the plays offs this year and this I am sure will excite our fans. We have decided to bring back Friday night basketball in a big way,” Amoko revealed. “The playoffs will for the first time be played for three days in a row.”

The top eight teams in each of the five categories will meet in the quarter-finals to be played in the best of three series.

The matches will move to the semis and then the finals, which will be played in the best of five series. The team with the best record will have home-court advantage.

Meanwhile, Nairobi Basketball Association ((NBA) playoffs will throw off latter next month.
