Madira Soccer Assassins' FC have snapped up former Gaspo Ladies FC tactician Domitila Wangui.

Wangui will serve as assistant coach to head coach Francis Muhambe, who masterminded Assassins' rise from the zonal league to the Women's Premier League.

Assassins' Chief Executive Officer Nixon Muleri said Wangui's experience will come in handy as they navigate the top-flight league.

Wangui was crucial for Gaspo as they finished third in the 2022/2023 WPL season and was at one time the head coach before the arrival of Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee.

Speaking to the Star on the phone after unveiling their technical bench, Muleri said: "We hope to tap into her vast experience in the WPL as we seek to club up the standings."

Wangui promised to nurture the talent at Assassins.

"I am going to work with my colleagues on the bench to ensure that we get the best from our girls despite their age. I am sure we are going to get the results," she said.
