Kenya Sevens rugby team Shujaa will face South Africa in the Africa sevens cum Olympic qualifier final after both sides posted impressive victories in the semifinals in Harare Zimbabwe.
Shujaa made light work of hosts Zimbabwe winning 35-10 in the first semifinal while powerhouses South Africa edged Uganda 26-14.
Kevin Wambua's charges got off to an explosive start with speedstar Patrick Odongo showing the hosts a clean pair of heels to touch down with Tony Omondi converting for a 7-0 lead.
Kenya put the hosts under pressure from the resultant kickoff and Nondies Nygel Amaitsa barged over the line to extend the advantage to 14-0 with a well-taken try.
Zimbabwe regrouped and finally got on the scoresheet courtesy of Ryan 'O Neal.
John Okoth however extended the advantage for the visitors when he touched down with Omondi converting for a 21-5 score at the interval.
On resumption, the hosts came out guns blazing and reduced the margin when Hillary Mudariki crossed the whitewash for a 21-10 score.
Shujaa however put the game to bed in the closing minutes of the half with Okoth scoring his second and George Ooro putting the icing on the cake with a neat try to close out the match
In the quarterfinals Shujaa dispatched Burkina Faso 26-0 with OKoth scoring twice, Beldad Ogeta and Patrick Odongo scoring once each in the rout. Tony Omondi kicked over three conversions.
In the pool matches, Kenya beat Nigeria and Zambia before whitewashing Namibia 51-0 to finish the pool stages unbeaten.
